December 2010

Current Events:
TERESA PASSED THE TEST TO BE A NM REAL ESTATE AGENT!!!!
(1ST TIME)

Now she just needs to sell a few houses!  Help all who can help.  She will be working for EXIT Advantage Realty in Alamogordo NM.

Also for Teresa, she will be turning 30 (again) in less than 10 days.  Roman decided to take Teresa to Las Vegas for her birthday.  Something that Teresa has been wanting to do for a long time.

Roman made sugar cookies for his shop that looked like pisspots.  Of course he had to do it the weekend that Teresa was cramming for her big test.  She had to help shape and frost them.

IYAAYS:  If you ain't AMMO, you aint S#*!
Pet News:
Alley knows a new pet trick since last time.  We'll have to video it because to see it is so much more exciting.

Roger seems to be doing better.

Buster is doing well.  Looks as though he may have the mange because we've been cuting his hair as needed to get the matts out of his hair.

Month of November 2010

Current Events:
The month of November was very eventful.  For Teresa she finally gave her notice and quit the BX.  YAY!!  She is still working at Papa Johns to learn the area better and make some extra cash.

Roman's parents came to visit for Thanksgiving and it went well.  Teresa made the turkey of course, green bean casserole, yams, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, and stuffing.

Pet News:
Took Roger to the vet.  He has a low thyroid.  Will start meds soon.

Teresa's great Turkey!

Week of October 25th

Current Events:
Things have been very busy for Teresa.  She started a 2nd job with Papa Johns as a delivery driver.  The reasoning behind it is that it can help her knowing the way around town and help her later when she eventually becomes a real estate agent.  It isn't too much some days only 2 hours per night and can make about $15+ an hour...other nights only $10/hr.

She did an event for another company called Premium Retail.  They had her as a contractor for HP for the "How to Train a Dragon" movie.  She took a photo and gave away a free 5x7 instant print.

Roman just took 2 weeks off.  He wanted to go home to Texas but because of circumstances stayed home.  He didn't do very much.
Pet News:
Alley & Roger are doing better when they have to go to bed.  Still having trouble with being excited and jumping on us when we get home.
Buster now loves to sleep on my head and purrs really loud at night.

Good Stay Alley!!!

And Roger, doing TD for a treat.

Week of October 4, 2010

Current Events:
Teresa went on a TDY to Roswell, NM where she got to see aliens.  Teresa isn't happy that the time it seems that she has to stay in her current job situation is going to be prolonged.  She is trying to find an out... some way, any way.

Roman has just been working like normal.  He is taking a week off soon--just because.

Pet News:
The dogs like hooves now.  It is the only thing that lasts more than a day.

Week of September 13, 2010

Current Events:
Teresa went to Albuquerque yesterday and will be there all week.  She is staying with friends she made a long time ago in Florida, Marilyn & Brian, through her old childhood friend Dana.

Today was the 1st day of her Broker Basics class.  So far so good.  She got to eat sushi at lunch.  Honestly, Teresa is happy not to have to go to work this week and wishes that this week at 'school' would last longer.

Roman is frustrated with work.  His shift is getting the short end of the stick.
And on top of his hectic schedule, there is no one at home to take care of him.  It will be a miricale if he is in good health when Teresa gets home. AND he has to take care of the pets all alone!

Pet Updates:
The pets are suffering because Teresa is out of town this week and Roman is working 12 hour shifts.  Hopefully Buster is doing alright.

Week of September 6, 2010

Current Events:

H&R block messed up the paperwork for our return and now we have to refile!  So much for Teresa being able to quit in June, July, or August... she is really sick of working at a company that doesn't pay their employees 100% of their pay.  It may be for the emotional health  she quit soon.  Roman has a cute nickname for Teresa now as, "the informer."

Roman will be working twelves this week.  FUN.

Teresa leaves for ABQ this week to go to Broker Basics course, which is Monday to Thursday, but has friends there and not sure when she will return.  She has finished 6 units of 12 in her course.

Pet Update:
We took the dogs to the park again.  And again Alley was terrified of the other dogs.  It was quite funny to see her running with her tail between her legs and whining.  Must get that from someone....

Photo Video of the day:

We were at half time of the Gator Game on Saturday.

September 3, 2010

Current mood: Angry!

Current events:
Went to work today.  Stinks as usual.  So the outcome of my letter?  Nada.  The management said, "it is the employee's prerogative if they want to clock out and keep working."  That it didn't matter if an employee worked extra or the scheduled amount it was the same as salary.  In what world?  OH the warped Aafes world I'm currently trapped in.  I am really beginning to think that I should boycott that company, but I know that I will probably be a customer for a long time yet.

Pet updates:
Nothing new to report.

September 2, 2010--Labor Day weekend coming up!!

Current events:

Teresa wrote a letter to the Commander and may have made a positive outcome for the employees at Aafes--the job she loathes.  They have a nasty habbit of shaving employee hours.  Any day now she will be putting in her 2 weeks notice.  That day can't come soon enough!
Ironically, the management also choose to send her on a TDY to Roswell NM.  She will be a team of 3.  She will be going October 1-3...we'll see if she is still there when that comes about.  She is not sure how she feels about being choosen.  Is it an honor or a punishment?

Looking forward to a 3 day weekend for Labor Day!

Roman isn't going to Texas for softball anymore.  Decided to save money and spend the weekend with the wife.

Teresa made friends with some people from work.  They are all planning on a crazy camping trip to Cloud Croft in a week.  Hopefully work won't stop their plans.

Pet updates:
Last weekend we took Alley and Roger to the dog park.  There were a ton of dogs!! Approximately 30!  Alley started out doing well, but there was another dog that chased her and then she didn't like it as much.  She would run and whine at the same time.
Roger had a blast.  He went around making his own friends and marking his territory.

Alley is driving us all crazy.  Jumping like crazy still and so hyper.  What happened to the little puppy she use to be? :(  But also looking forward to when she is an adult too.
Roger is sleeping in the kennel like a good dog.
Buster, well, Buster is the cat and he does what he pleases. :)

PHOTO OF THE DAY:
Alley & Roger at home.

Welcome to our family blog

This blog, one of my many is going to be very different from my other blogs.  The other blogs I started were for my travels, photography, photography, and photography. lol

This one is going to be one from our personal point of view and more casual.  This is going to be designed to be for our good friends and family.  Right now, there is only me, Roman, and the pets: Roger (Doger), Alley(Gator), and Buster(wuster).  Eventually, maybe oneday there will be another addition to the family...we'll see.  So this blog will include our day-to-day goings on, things going on at work as well as what the pets are up to.  Not to mention of course... photos.
